Kennedy Valve Company, with manufacturing experience dating back to 1905, is proud to introduce our newest and most innovative hydrant design. The K17 is among the highest performing hydrants available. The patented design incorporates features that include a 350 PSI working pressure rating, a true 6” flow. Path and is shaped for optimal performance and “near laminar” flow. The K17 is a reliable, simple design, easy to install and easy to maintain type hydrant.
Kennedy Valve recommends following AWWA Manual M17 Fire Hydrants, Installation, Field Testing & Maintenance.
Warning: Special care should be taken in the installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of pressure containing devices such as valves and hydrants. To prevent bodily injury, property damage, or damage to the fire hydrant and its supporting structures, use only a diffuser or flexible hose (properly restrained at the point of discharge) for flushing or flow testing. FAILURE TO FOLLOW PROPER PRACTICES AND GUIDELINES CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS BODILY INJURY OR DEATH.
